Nigel Kanyungwe (also known as TAKE) creates captivating architectural collages that propel viewers into futuristic realms. He begins with meticulous sketches of innovative architectural concepts, which serve as the foundation for intricate, layered compositions. Working with magazine paper, scissors and glue as his primary tools, he cuts and assembles fragments into cohesive, thought-provoking pieces.
Inspired by ever-evolving architectural design, his artworks invite us to contemplate the possibilities of tomorrow. Through a unique blend of vision, technique, and creative experimentation, he pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling, and is set to become a pioneering force in the realm of architectural art.
Nigel’s work was seen for the first time by the public at DPA.ART’s exhibition in Harare in October 2024. He has now exhibited twice with DPA.ART.
